REGENISIS
By Trinty Young
The trees were dead, the fruit rotten,
The air, unbreathable and toxic.
The water was gone, dried, and forgotten.
The Earth broken to the core
And in the center, no spark, no flame.
From the nothingness of space,
A woman emerged,
Her body green from inside out.
Traveling to the core,
She simply placed her hand;
The heartbeat of the Earth
Exploded and sung out.
The flame flickered and grew to a plasma.
The plasma began to harden
As an angelic blue water poured
In from the stars.
Trees of a thousand miles tall
Spread their arms;
Fruit, glowing with the cosmos,
Lay upon the grass.
The woman’s essence,
Contained in the Earth’s core,
Restored the Earth into so much more.
